What Can You Expect as a Client?
- Service: I work directly with each person or business client I represent. I also have a small, close-knit staff who assist me and who are available to help clients when I'm not in the office. In working with you, I'll take time to listen, answer any questions you have and explain the legal issues. I'll also give you a written outline summarizing your options, possible outcomes and what the process will be. I'll stay in regular communication with you and it will be easy for you to reach me if you have any new concerns.
- Broad experience and local knowledge: With more than 40 years of practice and the experience of hundreds of trials to draw from, there is very little I have not seen as an attorney. As a result, I've learned when to be patient and when to be aggressive. I've come to appreciate the risks of trial but I am not afraid to go court and rely on my ability there. My experience and familiarity with the courts of this area enables me to provide my clients with more effective advice.
- Integrity: As much as I might like to be able to tell every client I can accomplish everything they want, that wouldn't be an honest way to do business. In fact, it would be a great disservice to my clients and to my profession. The people who come to me for help, or even just a free consultation, get the straight story. If they don't have a good case, I'll tell them. If they'd be better off settling a dispute for less than what they want, I'm not afraid to recommend that either. I can honestly say that in more than 40 years of practice, I have never been less than forthright and fair with a client.
Professionalism: Being respected and trusted by your peers in the legal community, and by the courts, is one of the greatest assets an attorney can offer a client. I've earned that respect and trust by being thorough and conscientious in all aspects of my work, and by treating both my clients and my colleagues with courtesy, respect and fairness. I am one of only a few attorneys who practices in Greene, Columbia and Ulster counties who has received an AV Rating* from Martindale-Hubbell.
I serve clients throughout Greene County, Columbia County and Ulster County in the Catskills region of New York. The majority of my practice focuses on personal injury litigation, car accident insurance matters and traffic violations defense. I also handle a fair amount of probate work, general civil litigation related to business, real estate, insurance or probate disputes, and even some workers' compensation claims.
